As per this forum thread, I have rereleased the UB version of Jigdo/Wget as separate Intel and PowerPC versions.

Right peoples, it’s time for a progress update!

I’ve now got Jigdo 0.7.3 released as a Universal Binary. Yes, you read right. I’ve also begun to write AquaJigdo 3 - the basic framework’s there, now to attempt to write the relevant Cocoa code.

I’ve also recently treated myself to a totally maxed out top end iMac Intel Core Duo! It’s super-cool. It also means that I have tested the new build of Jigdo and AquaJigdo 2.x releases and verified that they work with an Intel Mac.

So there you have it. We’re up and running and raring to go. Again.

Erm… deleted. I couldn’t get my really old posts to import correctly into the new version of RapidWeaver, so I just imported as far as I could get.

I have now fixed the AquaJigdo 2.1 distribution, so it won’t (hopefully) throw an error when you try to open the application. To download it, go here.

Please note that all porting is currently processed using a PowerPC G4 computer. I therefore have no way to check if the ports will run on an Intel-based Mac.

I have a suspicion they may run using Rosetta, but I have been unable to check this.

I hope to get a hold of an Intel-based iMac soon, so as to provide both PowerPC and Intel ports. ( And also to make my desk a Windows-free zone, but that’s another story )

In the meantime, try the installer and see if it runs. I’m sorry if it doesn’t. However please contact me if you are able to provide further information as to whether it runs or not.
